In a different time and place, "A dragon at the door" was the most horrible concept anyone could encounter:
*Cue the sounds of screaming medieval peasants being burned alive.*
Nowadays, It's a much better sight, One that tugs at your heart strings:

Basically he was more of a yutz than actively malicious. He tried keeping Roxy past the point he was legally required to free her, and while it cost quite a bit of money she and some friends were able to take it to court and get him jailed. It's been quite a while, I'm foggy on the details.
