All of Don's life in the past, he's been sort of a loner. He hadn't been exposed to alot of Pokemon until 15 years old. Meaning he didn't have much experience in companionship until then. He was born in Hoenn and moved to Johto by himself.

His first Pokemon was Toltodile. She had taken a strange liking to him almost as soon as the met. Later down the road he traded something for a Treecko and found a strangely colored Infernape completely by chance. He managed to catch her but she refused to obey until he got all of the badges. After his journeys, Toltodile and Treecko both evolved to their last forms and became loyal to him.

Later down the line he met a thieving Sneasel that ended up following him and then he caught one of the many legendary Lugia. Lugia isnt allowed in specific battles, but Feraligatr, Sceptile and Infernape are his real companions. The 4 of them have been through so much together, but Don still is coldhearted to those he simply chooses not to trust.

Feraligatr (Sometimes just nicknamed Phera) Is strangely calm for her species. She tends to be extremely clingy to her master. However her true love is Sceptile. See strives to keep up with Sceptile but her Special attacks are her ace.

Sceptile is all about getting things done and done fast. Speed is his best attribute. He is also too loyal to his type. All of his moves are Grass moves. Feraligatr tends to annoy him and he sometimes has a difference in opinion to Don. They have fought over things before.

Romilda is the Shiny Infernape who used to not obey anything Don told her to do. Strangely enough, she didn't try to run away. When she saw him as worthy, she became on of his best companions. Romilda is pretty much the tank of the group. She can really pack a punch.

Sneasel used to be a thief that supposedly worked under Team Rocket. It seems highly unlikely though and perhaps she only stole the IDS for whatever reason. She loves the thrill of the chase and sometimes compares her speed to Sceptile. Matching in speed, but sadly not in power. This doesn't stop her from trying though.

Lugia doesnt seem to be as mature as other Lugia people may have seen. He's not that strong but he helps the team get around. He is however Don's best bet in the Pokethlon.
