Amber slipped into the pleasantly cold water of the lake, not resisting to let out a guttural sigh, closing her eyes and sunk deeper and deeper into it until only her back, neck, head and wings were left visible. Today was another hot day, filled with flying around and sweating her butt off. Matt and the others were waiting for her in the cave but she still had enough time to cool off and wash off all the dirt and filth that was stuck between her scales. She yawned and just rested in the water, the cold liquid slowly seeming to seep through her scales and skin, directly into her muscles. After around a minute, she turned around to get her back soaked in as well, but then she let out a surprised, little meep when she spotted someone outside the lake, observing her. 'Sorry if I surprised you', Jake said and smiled a little apologetically. 'I didn't know you were here...do you mind if I join you?', he added, his tail wagging a little. Amber blinked before smiling and simply opened her arms. "By all means, my cute bird~", she replied and just a second later, the gryphon hopped into the water and swam towards her, quickly laying down on her massive chest and belly, his wet fur settling on her scales. Amber closed one arm around his neck and enjoyed his warm, fluffy body, beginning to lick over his neck and head to clean him up, the air around them quickly beginning to be filled with gentle, warm purrs.
