After Freckled Lapis left to become a dancer, Curly haired Lapis didn't want to admit it but she lost the only friend she actually had, even though she hadn't fully comprehended friendship yet with her Gem Empire mindset, never the less she went down to earth and started following Freckles to be near her, this lead her to the building next to the dance studio, a Bowling alley.

She only wanted to be inside it to covertly spy on Freckles, but the manager of the alley told her she couldn't loiter in the alley, if she wants to stay then shes gotta play. When she came to earth through Little Kindergarten, among the things she was given was two hundred earth dollars to purchase anything that might help their quest to find what they want to do with their lives, so she paid the manager and was handed a ball and shes.

Curly hair did not like the the idea of WEARING any articles of human clothing, especially over her feet, but part of her was a bit intrigued by the mechanical nature of this human ritual. she went up to her lane and rolled the ball down the lane like everyone else only for it to land in the gutter, unimpressed by the lack of anything happening, she tried again only to get the same result. After seeing this, the elderly gentleman bowling in the next lane over told her "I can see your a newcomer, the goal of the game is to roll the ball in between the two grooves and hit the pins at the end" Annoyed that she apparently failed already, Curly grabbed her ball and hurled it through the air at the pins this time, hitting some of the pins but also drawing the attention of everyone in the room who saw a cannon ball flying through the air.

Before she could get in trouble, the old man offered to teach her how to play properly since he saw she had talent and plenty of strength, for the next two hours, Curly went from getting gutter balls to strikes like clockwork, by her third game, she managed to get a perfect 300 game, Curly liked this feeling of winning, she thanked the old man for his wisdom and decided to leave, but as she was floating out the building, the manager stopped her for trying to leave with the bowling shoes and the ball, Curly didn't want to admit it, but she grew attached to them, and handed the manager some money to let her keep them, since the ugly bowling shoes weren't worth much he was fine with the shoes, but the ball cost 150$ so he took her money and she got to leave and go back to stalking Freckles with her new toys, but as the weeks went on, Curly kept coming back to the bowling alley, telling herself she was still looking after Freckles, but in reality she really wanted to win again.

Curly only had enough money for one more game, but she dazzled the crowd as she got consecutive perfect games one after another, the owner knew good publicity when he saw it and offered to let her play for free as long as she kept playing this good, so Curly continued to consistently bowl perfect games and was feeling a strange feeling she never felt before from the sounds of humans cheering her on for doing something perfect, a strange feeling to her since she and Freckles had been perfectly doing their jobs terraforming planets for centuries and never got any praise for it, Curly thought maybe this is the something the Pink Diamond Steven was talking about and thought maybe this could be her thing, but after a month, Curly suddenly realized Freckles had stopped going to the dance studio next door, she asked where she went and the owner had no clue, she got her fill and moved on to another studio.

Curly now had no clue where Freckles was now, she felt so much anger for letting herself get caught up in a silly game, she wanted to slice this planet to ribbons......but that gave her flashbacks of Lapis Lazuli and the beat down she gave her, Curly decided to sneak back to the planet she was terraforming months ago and let out her anger on the last rock formation she and freckles were carving together, as her emotions boiled and she didn't know what to think as she sobbed and sliced away at cliff-side like a hot knife through butter, until one slice revealed something. Inside was a hallowed out box shape inside the hill-side, and in the center of that was a glowing liquid that floated and the closer Curly got to it, she could feel its power radiating with her gem, Curly felt a desperate urge to take the liquid and cover her gem with it, the liquid began to crack the surface of her Lapis gem and distort her body made of light as the glowing liquid absorbed into her gem and once Curly reformed, she knew she was reborn.

Curly looked over at a tree and with a simple thought changed its shape to that into a bronze statue of her and freckles, Curly now had the power to alter matter and reality with her mind, she had powers even all the diamonds combined did not, but Curlys broken heart decided it didn't crave conquest, it wanted things to be how she wanted them. Curly looked at another tree and turned it into a mirror so she could look at her dress and noticed her bowling shoes still on her feet, Curly still loved bowling and decided that she wanted to make everyone else love it too, as she looked at her reflection and in an instant, she now had a new bowling-centric look, complete with a new bowling ball (she left hers back on earth) and a new name, She heard other games call her Curly, which she didn't care about either way, but now she would go by her own chosen name "Curly Bowl" and sets her sights on Beach City, the future sight of her new kingdom of pins. to be continued
