Its because they are so monumentally large. Same with mountains. Photos really do not capture their immensity.

They are vastly large and unbelievably heavy. It's strange that they stay in the air; but they're just not very dense.

Im very much fascinated by them too! In fact that's another reason why i love summer so much, skies tend to be a lot more active and those sky castles rise up every evening almost. Where I work at we always get a nice view of their whole cycle. Hmmmmm wonder if theres a way I can share some with you, took some pics overthe past few days I think you'll like :)
