It's summer time, so we're off to the beach with a new Heartbeat series. Valerie invites you to enjoy this moment on a lone beach under the setting sun.
It's the classic beach episode so we've got a lot of summer fun activities to do! In a new exciting landscape format instead of portrait. Also, the eagle-eyed among you may notice that I'm now going to be adding a little tag to my drawings. Maybe I'll go back and update the old ones as well slowly but that will take a really long time so maybe not.

This reminds me that I should finally ask something on Tumblr, still didn't get around to ask an interesting yet not weird sounding question.
Anyways, time to get to the rambling you actually care about^^
I... actually have to criticize the first time, what's with her fingers on her left hand? It looks kinda weird, maybe I'm just looking on it from a wrong perspective, her expression also looks more sad, the blush is really dark and hard to see.
Other than that I really love the fact that you implemented birds flying in a V-formation, such little details are always the best! I also like that Valerie isn't "just" a dog, that she has "human" hair. The invitation from her is also nice (does saying something along those lines seem weird?). I also adore the hat^^
Oh and with the tag, add it if you really want to, it also ensures that people will always credit you even if they're not. My favourite quote checks out.
All in all, I have to say, I'm waiting for the other Heartbeat-members.

Any question, weird or not, is greatly appreciated!
Fair criticism. I thought I'd experiment with an interesting pose with her holding her arm back to the camera. Her left arm ended up bothering me a lot since I couldn't figure out how to position it such that it looked like she was holding it out to the camera while also not being a very unnatural pose. It certainly missed the mark this time but it's something to learn from and hopefully next time, improve upon.
Her expression looking sad I'd imagine comes from her droopy eyes, I'll certainly consider it more in the future about how to properly communicate her emotions better. She should be able to look happy despite having more sad looking eyes. It's not something I really noticed until you brought it up so thank you.
The blush was brighter initially but I decided it looked too distracting in the end so opted to have it be darker. I should have played with the colours a little more to try and find a better medium. Thank you for the feedback though, there is no improvement without considering shortcomings!
Nine birds as well for her group of nine! It's always fun to play around with different hairstyles so having some characters have hair works out nicely. That sounds fine, to me at least. Thank you very much!
I think I'll do it slowly, maybe add it retroactively to a few drawings each day as to not overwhelm myself.
This ended up being a rather long reply. Thank you very much! I hope you like the rest of them!

"(...) so thank you,"
Hey, no problem, criticism is not there to hate on people, it's there to help them improve and do better and I had exactly that in mind, I love your artstyle.
"This ended up being a rather long reply."
Hey, my comment was also pretty long but if there's an actual message behind the mighty text wall it's completely ok, I'm no fan of long comments or replies though because they end up looking like some sort of manic analysis instead of just a quick message to tell someone that you enjoyed his/her art. It's usually not my style.
I'm pretty hyped for the other members, especially for Darling, why that is, well, I'll just point towards my profile (picture) and last word in my community title. I hope that doesn't concern you or makes me seem like some kind of weirdo or anything, I know how people can react to such revelations.
