Okay, so here we have the first part of my little foray into tadpole raising. Theron and I took a net down to the puddle site and scooped up a bunch of the little tadpoles. They were living in tire ruts basically, and very shallow puddles left over from all the rain we had recently. The puddles may or may not dry up before these guys have a chance to grow into...I'm guessing toads.
What I have set up for them now is just a little 2 gallon tank (the one that Crabigail used to live in). I put some philodendron in there for cover and all the mud you see came from the container I carried them home in. There's actually several little wormy type creatures in there and a few mosquito larvae I scooped up by accident as well. I dropped an algea wafer in there for them to eat and right now they're swarming it. Nom nom nom.
