It is now complete! :D
I have been working on it on and off for the last 8 years.
It's 50cmx60cm and the design had been printed onto the canvas using the colours you can sort of see on the right. I really progressed alot on this piece and learned how to make even stitches.
The reason it's not rectangular is because of the tension I put on the stitch along with the stitch itself. You can see the edges curling under because it's a fraction too tight. You can see curling in any of the long vertical bits. It doesn't really matter though because it gets stretched before being framed which will fix it.
How many hours have I put into this? God only knows but the more complicated the section, the longer it takes. The hair was the most frustrating and time consuming.
Also there are no knots in this at all. I merely thread the wool through itself to make sure it doesn't pull out for the first two stitches then you don't need to worry about it.
Canvases aren't cheap. One of this size probably costs anywhere above AUS$100.
You can see the back along with the front here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/370524/
And a bit more of an in progress shot here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/370526/

Thank you! To be honest, if I didn't have the zebra tapestry to finish before February, I probably wouldn't have finished this for another 2 years :P. I work quite slowly on tapestries, but on this one, I motored through the background in two months. A bit too intesive for me.
