Yeah, they first appeared in episode #11 of The FBA Post Up Podcast. You can hear them here at around the 2:23 mark:

jerotter and
sylffor did such a good job playing these characters, I had to use them again. Thankfully, they were also very patient with me. I came up with the idea for this back at FC 2010-- in January-- and it's taken this long to get the script written, recorded and produced. I'm so slow at this.

Well, more details will come out, but basically, Cheval's movie bombed so bad, his agent couldn't get him work any more. So the big horse was stuck in SoCal without work-- and the local basketball team was in desperate need for a good center-- you can probably figure out the rest.
Thank you so much, RKO! This was an especially difficult one to produce since it all takes place in a quiet studio. It's so much easier to build a scene outdoors or someplace where there's an ambient sound to cover up my edits and mistakes. I also had to re-record all of my lines because I messed up the first recording. But still, I'm pleased with how well this came out.
And huge ups to
jerotter and
sylffor for being even pickier with their sound quality than I am. The audio they delivered me was outstanding. Really made this project easy to cut.

Yeah, I think T. Matt has a-- uhm-- strained relationship with the Mack and Leon. I'm sure the 'yote gets annoyed by their rapid back-and-forth banter, but they make good lunch company. At least they're not as annoying as Jimmy.
When I was writing this script, I found I really liked the idea of T. Matt, Leon and Mack having a casual professional relationship with each other. Kind of a silly thing, I guess, but somehow I've always found myself drawn to furry stories pulled from the mundane aspects of life, like working together in the same building and getting lunch during the work week.

So would Cheval be coming back after the off season? Surely he'd have to tryout and pass physicals and get into game shape again, so maybe his big return would be next year, since it's so late in the season.
We need to figure out what's happening with the Spectrum's draft pick (the 1st round pick they got from the Bantams, which may disappear because the 2nd round pick they exchanged for it was already given to Galveston). At this point, with how lucky the Specs are getting with diamond in the ruff Holland and now Cheval (if he's any good still) and their own lottery pick, they don't really need another 1st rounder. ;)

Yeah, he wouldn't be playing this season. The reason the otters knew about it and not T. Matt was because he had told an entertainment magazine journalist he was going back to the FBA. Nothing official, no paperwork signed yet, just an ex-player with a failed movie career making a public claim.
Who knows how far it will go-- heck, it might just be a media stunt to get more attention to his movie. You know, those DVD sales can be big business.
As for the trade problem, that is sticky. But that's probably the simplest thing to do, just let the Bantams keep their 1st round trade. We can assume there were cash considerations along with the personnel trade. As long as that's okay with you, I'm good with it.

Yeah, I'm fine with that. If anything, the Spectrums should have known they didn't have that pick available and never should have offered it. Because the Bantams took the deal due to a false promise of the pick, it makes sense to just drop the picks and settle for cash. That and we will remember now that Galveston has the Spectrums second round pick.
I would imagine the Spectrums might want a center anyways with their lottery pick. Depending on Cheval can be risky business, as the Thrust found out the hard way.

I think the rabbityote needs to not be so hard on himself. You already are doing a fulltime job, and to write things like this we can participate in is a lot of work. It was a ton of fun to do this, Syl and I had a blast.
I STILL say it's pretty quick turnaround after you got the initial script to us! And also, we can't be pickier than the EDITOR in terms of sound quality, you put out some of the nicest stuff out there! I just happened to have spent way too much money on equipment so far, but all the post was definitely you! Sorry I deleted a take, bad habit I should get out of. ;)
thanks again!

Thanks, J-Ott. I'm really glad you had a good time recording this-- I had a blast, too. And like every audio program I produce, there were some unique challenges with this one that I had fun overcoming. And I learned a lot, too.
Maybe you spent a lot of money, but you got good gear. The sound quality you gave me was outstanding! And your performances were just terrific!
I think Syl's delivery of "Does he play as well as he acts, because then it's not" is one of the funniest things I've ever heard.
Thanks for all your help with this. Out of all the great things I've gotten out of joining FA, the best has been being able to collaborate with talented people like yourself.
