LHC?

Large Hadron Collider. It's a 26 mile long supercollider, capable of sending two protons speeding toward each other at 99.9% the speed of light. Basically, it slams these two particles into one another, and the resulting collision is detected and analyzed by scientists.

Supposedly, the basic building blocks of the universe will be discovered, and questions like 'What gives things mass' might soon be answered.

Science!

Oh yeah. I really wonder what new discoveries are they gonna announce to the world with it. =3

Well, they should either be able to confirm or disconfirm the existence of the Higgs Boson. They'll probably discover some new subatomic particles as well (less elementary ones, that is). Maybe get a better understanding of the force of gravity, and probably be one step closer to finding a unifying theory of everything (if such a thing is possible without the inclusion of an 11 dimension model of the universe).

My guesses though :D

And maybe find something that'll create more technologies in the process. =D
