Interesting. By chance, what did you happen to use for a reference, as I'm used to Kobolds being more canine in appearance. Or perhaps that's because I'm thinking back to my days of Ragnarok Online and those damned dogs that never gave me my crit card!

Generally by most standards they're canine-ish, but I wanted something more of the cutebold look and was thinking something a tad more big-eared lizardish thing.

Actually, if you do an image search in google, for example, there's a lot of lizardish kobolds out there. :D

But I know at some point they were canine-like. Maybe early D&D? They've changed quite a bit over time.

I imagine that's quite a case, although I was always more a fan of Shadowrun. Traditionally, they're sprites from german lore, which in a way, differs. That's going by traditional definition and wikipedia, although it's evident that the names been used quite liberally. Which I guess shouldn't be too huge a surprise, but eh. Still looks good.
