I found the inspiration to write this from a post-rock song I rather adore. It's called Setting Sail by the band At The End of the Ocean; hence the title of the poem. This is not intended to be lyrics for said song, but merely a work based upon its beautiful music. <3
I'd say this is a fair mix of several styles I've used lately. I don't feel the language is too extravagant, yet I believe it captures my intent well. I am simply pleased to have produced another poem on a mere whim. :3
