Flow was born on one of the band of large islands that Fweelines can live on. This island has a colourful, almost rainbow-like effect, spring - created by a small waterfall that churns minerals from underwater veins and fallen fruits. Because of this, the island is pretty popular among some of the Floralines that have the correct type of flower, that allows them to create new varieties and vibrant colours.
For the local Fweelines, they adapted to separating the minerals from the rainbow waters, to create paints and makeup, which for some Fweeline struggle to use if their body tone and markings are already to bright. This is something that was used as part of their festivals.
Flow's rose grew in a patch next to the Rainbow Spring, which it took water from - causing the petals to become colourful, and in turn, make her own flower bud to dye as well. As she grew, the colours started to dull, and found that by drinking the same, rainbow water from time to time, brought bright colours back to her petals. She's been doing that ever since.
If it hadn't of been for the Rainbow Spring, Flow would of been a full Albino, with a White Rose flower.
Her best friend is Flurry, a Fweeline, who she's known since she was but a flower child. They both grew up together, and stayed by together since. Flow is super protective of her, maybe a bit to much, and finds no Fweeline wanting to "court" her is good enough, and seems to scare them away. She's pretty quiet and seems grumpy half the time, which is what scares suitors away.
There is one Fweeline that she seems to feel is okay for Flurry.... he's just gotta prove it first. (and she still passes the notes to Flurry that he gives her to pass on.)

Unlike most of my characters I've created or adopted, Flow is one of the few NOT related to Sparkles's world-building.
