Michigan Central Station-
Built: 1913
Partly Closed: 1967
Last Train/Abandoned: 1988
1988-2010: Decaying and forgotten
Detroit City Council threatened to demolish it last year... graffitti'd and dying, its windows completely smashed in, it hangs in the balance now, a symbol of Detroit's urban decay, and the decay of passenger rail travel, the decline of our cities, our economy and our world...
I explored this area after FCN... this part (and most of) Detroit is so deserted, you can drive on the grass and sidewalks... it looks like a war zone, and I have been in an actual war zone... Going here was an experience that is hard to put into words. I almost cried.

Still... this picture kinda sums up your other pictures of this area, I think. It's got the forlorn look on it, like nature's just going to slowly reclaim this place. A modern ghost town, Detroit could be... sad, interesting, and scary all at the same time.
