Well, I decided to make a character sheet for my new just-because characters!
If you like the pouch design, feel free to use it. (Not this specific picture though, I mean as reference!)

Am liking this character very much :3 she strikes me as looking the part for her job too! Heheh. Too many people forget those flat roo feets! I like that you shortened them a little just to seem less ridiculous. Or lenthened regular planti feet should I say? Heheh :3 nice development anyway.
I like the backstory. Very similar to me! The pouch design is amazing. I was wondering how that worked (spent about 15 minutes staring at your picture thinking "Okay so the pouch is attached to the legs... but how does it stretch THAT much in the middle?" apparently I didn't read everything). Anyways, love the art work, keep it coming!
(RE: plantigrade 'roos) I don't think people really know what a kangaroo looks like. I've seen way too many digitigrade 'roos, bunny-footed 'roos, or worse, wolf-footed 'roos. How hard could it be to Google image search "Kangaroo," especially if you're going to make that your 'thing.'
To clarify, I think your anthro-kanga' foots look very good.

That said though, very creative pouch design.

Actually I'd argue the heart and soul of the trope is this part: The real Wallbanger most people will spot however, is when a couple who couldn't be trusted to look after a pet gerbil, let alone a small human, are magically made capable of being model parents at their baby's birth. Female characters who could only be described as "dysfunctional" are suddenly made responsible mothers,With relationship solidifacation only occuring as a minor side effect.
However, I reiterate that the picture contains very interesting and creative anatomy anatomy (though we never did find out why exactly her breasts make so much sense) and Tropes Are Not Bad. :P

As usual lots of CUTE and excellency and ammagosh I love it all in this pic. But what amazes me more, is that one day you say 'I want to make a roo character.' So you do, and the next day you add a child roo, and the day after that you have made a complete lil' life story and character reference sheet for the both of them. That's just... spiff 8} and I see how the pouch, as part of the upper legs, can pretty comfortably (for both of them) carry Ali. Seeing it from behind makes it really clear.
I haven't read through all of the comments, so some of my thoughts may had already been said, so I will keep it brief. I really like what you did here, this is a character with certainly a lot of flavor, and you let that character's look the part. These character's are much more down to earth then most, and I feel as though I want to know more about their story after seeing something like this.
Plus, the little joey on the ground is cuteness on a stick. ^^

Verry cute, but from an anatomical viewpoint I'd have to argue about how effective having the ouch attached to the legs would be; try filling a backpack up and tie it to your legs. Carrying something heavy bouncing against the legs in that fashion tends to make it harder to walk.
Now that's a beautiful flyer you got!
Knowing her, she'd be best buds with my roo, Pepper!
