I wanted to draw something like Natusme Ono's work.
That's a mangaka that induces such complicated feelings for me. I used to be so invested in her work, now it's not really to my taste. But her style's incredibly unique.
I bought an Ultra Jump (for Oh! Great's series, if that's an indication of how my taste shifted) and wanted to make an attempt after seeing Ono's new manga.

It feels pretty arrogant to even say "Natsume Ono no longer appeals to me." Everything she makes is good. It just felt like the same "fetishes" applied every time, I suppose... I mean, I feel like "I get it" when I read her things. I guess.

It feels weird even writing out these feelings, since I rarely have these feelings of "I've moved on from this." Special interests shift, but for an artist to go from 10/10 appeal to a 2/10 appeal is rare
