What do I like about it so much? Well, I think it says a lot that Maurice is so attentive of Julien, but his distaste of the King's annoying habits makes him, for lack of a better word, human and interesting. To me, they're like an old married couple, where at least on screen, much of their passion is left to the side for the mundane, domestic stuff which drives me wild. I love to see a couple do anything domestic with each other. Whenever Julien is "home," in his habitat, Maurice is always there. He takes care of him, pampers him, really. He shows a lot of attitude and argues and acts like he thinks Julien is an idiot or demanding, and maybe he doesnt' feel appreciated. But he's still with him, right? I dunno, I just really feel something there.
