This picture has been a long time coming, something I knew I wanted to do but also something I needed to prepare myself for mentally, as well as really think on just how I wanted to pay my own tribute to a very dear friend who sadly is no longer with us. While I wanted to do something nice to commemorate him I wanted it to also be something personal. This also sadly made it a difficult picture to work on over this last month as I had to put it down a few times due to the amount of emotional weight involved that I couldn't always keep it together through. Thank you to the friends who were there for me during those times, it helped a lot. *deep breath* Anywho!

One of my fondest memories of Skyder was a few years back, he had made a rather long trip to Canada here as a summer vacation. We had planned it around a furry camping event that was going on at the same point where I lived. It was one of my most favorite summers and also made the perfect scene artistically. I couldn't think of a better way to honor a old friend than to give a nod to a period in time that made such a huge impact on my life in a number of ways. *chuckles* right down to depicting some of the long conversations we had.
