Just a pic of my (temporary) Tomcat while doing some hunting over the Persian Gulf. Heatblur Simulations had a sale and trial running and I got to sink my teeth into the most powerful naval fighter in US Naval History, the F-14 Tomcat. Compared to my Hornet, this thing is a monster, both in terms of its offensive capabilities and its handling. She's got the tightest turn rate of any NATO jet currently in the game with the possible exception of the AV8B and A10 (which aren't technically fighters, but I digress), and with the Jester AI helping you out, you won't be in a bad spot suring a dogfight or at long-range.
Jester himself can be a bit of a wildcard though. It never happened to me (no, really), but I've seen plenty of screen-caps where Jester decided he'd rather walk back than ride with the player piloting the bird. Most of my instances with him have been humerous, like when he went "ooh candy!" when he visually ID'd an IL76 "Candid"
This livery is based on the older VF-82 "Buccaneers" F-14E Super Tomcat I did a couple years ago, but updated with the correct colors, and modified to suite the DCS F-14B Tomcat.
At the moment, I'm considering opening myself up for Livery Commissions for those who play DCS World, or those looking to get into the game for the first time. At current, I'm considering charging $20 per file needing to be edited. I'm thinking of doing it that way because I don't feel right charging hundreds just so someone can have me put the VF-103 "Sluggers" or VF-84 "Jolly Rogers" tail markings on the verti-stab of an F-15C.
If you're interested in getting a custom livery, leave a comment below. The rules will be simple: If it's a module you can pay for, and that Eagle Dynamics supports, and it has a template available (this helps me figure out what goes where), then I'll do it. The livery can be as simple, or as complex as you want it to be. Just keep in mind I'm charging by file, so keep that in mind when you're ordering a livery for an aircraft that has a dozen or so files to edit (like the Tomcat, which has 11).
This texture is still WIP, and still needs some fine-tuning, but it's almost ready for wide release.
If you are interested in DCS World, and are not sure what it's about, I highly recommend checking out this video on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=732Y62VZIGc This video was put out by Eagle Dynamics, and it will tell you everything you need to know, and answer some of the most common questions. I will however recommend getting it through Steam. While you can get it direct from the dev team, you're rolling the dice with it as their installer relies on a torrent based system, and it can download corrupted files by accident that cause adverse affects on your experience. Steam sends you the files they have, and the chances of file corruption is significantly lower. Yes, I know that if you buy a module on Steam, Valve is getting a cut (like 5%), but I think it's worth it to have a secure, and stable download of the game that can be adjusted with extreme ease.
I'm currently working on a custom Livery for my long-time friend @Helge129 should he be able to get into the game, and I'll show it off once it's ready to be shown.
