Back to this pants-bearing bear. It's a pretty simple pose, but here's some things that went great for me. First, a lot of lines that aren't strictly needed but that make the figure more interesting, such as the fold lines in the shorts, or the switch from a continuous line to ruffled fur on the shoulders and arms. Second, the belly. Third, the sneakers are about ten times as good as the ones I drew the other day. Fourth, in the original panel Barnstable's left hand was mostly off-frame; the lower arm and the finger pose is wholly my creation. And yet it looks like a reasonable arm. Fifth, the shading and spots on those shorts. So I'm totally not obsessing that his head is the wrong size.
