Now as I said in a journal, I've wanted to start my own narrative wth Kobaan ( don't worry it'll stay vorish ) where Kobaan's lifelong dream is to be a hero despite his difference from his fellow chus and other pokemon, the like finding him weird and out of place, his appearance coming across as bizzare to the other forest of chus he lives with in their little houses under burrows of trees, tree houses and the like.

A measure of the story is also a analogy to the story of 'The Ugly Duckling', a story I've loved since I was a kid where the ugly black duckling matures into a beautiful swan in this metamorphasis that transcends everyones expectations. Not to say Kobaan is ugly here, it's just he surpasses the opinion and undergoes his journey. Theres also a measure of familiarity with Kobaan's later Raichu form, the idea being is that secretly, Kobaan has tanuki/koon characteristics which fully express themselves in his raichu evolution.

So yeah, I know, I'm going my own way with this but it's very analogous with my own life. Being a youth I was seen as autistic and weird and experienced a whole ton of abuse and bullying and I want Kobaan to be a message that 'It's not bad to be weird, it's actually cool, even appreciated' because to be your own person is probably the best thing you could do with your life. It's a very positive message.

So yeah, this is Kobaan as a pikachu~ People might like it or not, the fact is we know it's our buddyboi and we see how his transformation into being who he is takes fold.
