actually because you are posting dolls, it is a bit different from the normal fare on this site. so really no complaints here.

The answer is simple. They are stupid and deserve to be ignored.

Yup.

It's mostly "damn, those dolls look creepy". You know... like androids that looks a little *too* realistic. They fall into the "uncanny valley" for some people so even though it's just a doll and wouldn't be so bad in real life, in pictures they just look... frightening/creepy.

About 55 seconds in there's a clip with a Japanese robot. When it moves, it looks a bit creepy.

Dur.. I know that. There is even a debate about the uncanny valley effect on the forum I frequint. And just because it does fall under that catagory, doesnt mean I want to hear that every time I feel like posting a picture.

The previous pic was better, why don't you try to add some light effects ?

Hehe. The first was is better.. mostly because this was the last one I did and its 3am. I did add light effects...o.o I added the wings and the light coming in from behind.. also darkened him quite a bit.

I think if the light comes from behind him, there must be some lights on the contour of his head and wings =3

Ooh, I see what you mean now. Yeah, I should have done that.. I also should have added a reflection on the water.. but as I said, this was the last I did, and it was around 3am when I finished with it.
