There was a Gabby Hayes comic book? This would have been in the 50's right? Sometimes it seems like everyone (the Three Stooges, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, Hope & Crosby) had a comic book back then!
And Groat look like an authentic 50's western comic relief. All he needs is some sad sack of an Indian (like Joe Knox from The Great Scout and Cathouse Thursday) and a new legend will be made!
