Sonic's 29th Anniversary
You know I had to draw my childhood muse, my reason for making art!
For giving me the courage to keep drawing, to keep going no matter what.
Happy Birthday, Sonic the Hedgehog! Today your series turns 29 and I've been there for the entire journey (dang I'm old!).
Thanks for all the fun times and memories.
Today's warmup painting is for you. ๐

I know I played Sonic 2 a lot, but I don't think I ever beat it. I was never one to sit there and play a game from start to end in one go. I think Sonic 3 and Knuckles was the first one I actually beat, but as Knuckles.
I've definitely been a Sonic fan for the majority of my life. I don't remember not being one at all, really. I think the Sonic games were the only ones we had for Genesis, though.
You're welcome. ^.^

Happy Birthday Sonic. Still living it to the full. Love the colouring and lighting in this scene. Great use of the shower of sparks and streak to the show the speed. Seeing tails (and how adorable he looks) at the bottom shows how high up he is. A great pic to celebrate this speeder.๐โญโญโญโญ
Ah, memories. I was eight when Sega launched the franchise, and I've been a fan ever since. Good grief, it really has been 29 years!
incidentally, I guess Sega wants us to believe he's still in his late teens. Yet, in Forces, Infinite tells the Doctor, "he's beaten you for decades." The jackal can do math. Sega apparently cannot! ;3

Ha, I actually didn't catch that! Very interesting observation. I suppose even Sonic cannot escape age, haha! Poor dude.
I had recently turned 3 when Sonic first hit the shelves, so Sonic 2 is really where my earliest memories of the franchise begins. I've been in love ever since! ;u;
Time flies. Before you know it we'll all be eating jello cups while complaining about today's youth. :P
