Vermilion Jones No. 2.
Here is a another picture of Vermilion Jones, a character of mine that I like a lot but of whom I haven't drawn many pictures. I've described him before to people whom have asked about him, but I'll describe him again.
Vermilion Jones was born fifty years ago in Oaxaca, Oaxaca, Mexico. He's 5'5", has four arms, and he and his twin brother Jasper are the oldest of seven. He plays piano for a living, weddings and bar mitsvahs, and he provides ambience at a couple local fancy restaurants. He also busks occasionally.
He lives in this house with crazy wallpaper in Particular, Washington with Esmereldo Koor, the gargoyle I draw occasionally. He frequently plays with Koor's almost-almost-famous band, Day Off for the Dead. I'm not sure what kind of music they play being as I'm not sure what time period my characters live in.
He drives a cream-colored well-weathered 1939 Buick convertible that's held together by baling wire. He is not careful driver but do not tell him this. He does not like shirts because they have the wrong number of sleeves.
He sounds exactly like Johnny Cash.
So yeah, he's a short, bright red, four-armed, chain-smoking, shirtless, mexican anthropomorphic coyote who sounds exactly like Johnny Cash. Furries are always trying to make their characters stand out, I figure I gotta too.

It's in absolutely wretched condition, but pretty much everything I draw is broken and old and shitty. I was thinking 1965, which means Vermilion was born in 1915. But the thing is I'm not sure what I want to do with these characters. I've always wanted to draw comics but I'm not sure if there'd be a story arc or just random jokes with old cars and weird wallpaper as a backdrop. If there's a story arc then I'd reveal more of the world, and then I'd run into things like how similar the timeline is to ours. Our timeline involves a lot of horrible things that I'd rather not have happened in awesome furry world, I don't want there to have been a furry Mussolini. But alternate timelines make it more difficult to make jokes, what with there being less that normal people can relate to. And if I make it 2010 then it'll definitely have to be an alternate timeline.
Furry, this is a furry site, meh.

Thank you! I made him up easily ten years ago, maybe fourteen years, when I didn't have any aversion to making a character with too many weird attributes. At least he doesn't have wings and a mohawk. Although his best friend is a gargoyle with a mohawk.
