As some people who follow my twitter or Aseress her instagram account, might have seen the new post about Aseress!

YES! Aseress got updated!
This was an update I wanted to be done for her from ever since I got her. I did not add these updates because I didn’t like her, I did so cause It felt like it would complete her look better and improve the character greatly. She was send off in secret all the way back in November with nobody knowing, I just got her back last Friday. And with my bab all new and beautiful she deserved a new refsheet! I haven’t commissioned a lot of art of her is the past, due to me wanting to wait for the suit to be updated first. Now the update has finally happened I can commission artwork for the new and beautiful Aseress but ofc I need a refsheet to do so.

With this new ref I really wanted to show off some of her new features, like the white hooved feet I got for the suit and ofc the new horns and fangs. The front (on the fullbody) and side faces (on the right) I traced/draw-over from pictures of the suit, cause I really wanted the fangs and horns to be placed 100% correctly . Of course I still did the editing and lining.

Here is her simplified background story about the character :
Aseress was not born a demon, she came form a small tribe somewhere in a enchanted jungle. Her folk was known for its rituals and healing magic. Aseress just like other females in her tribe were destined to become healers, Aseress showed to be quite a skilled magic caster and eventually outclassed her fellow students. After becoming the tribe shamans apprentice her magic learning journey skyrocketed. But eventually after learning every skill from the book she started delving in more types of magic, the Forbidden dark magic which was illegal and very frowned upon by her tribe. In secret she would practise these forbidden magic, using dangerous poisons and body parts from diseased tribe members. After years of developing her skills in secret she wanted to test her power, by summening the most powerfull demon in existent....Not even her shaman would cross paths with this creature. She was to pridefull. The day of the ritual, the ritual went bad and a big explosion occurred, which has scared her face and blinded her eyes. She got swung into another world unkown, first she was scared and angered but she accepted her faith. After years of dwelling, practising more outrages magic and perfecting necromancy… this is who she become. Slowly turning into a creature that she tried to summon, as the universe mocks her for what her blindess pride caused herself. As the red markings, which were used for the ritual permanently burned on her face as a reminder or her greatest failure.

Im not good at background stories but I hope atleast it’s a bit enjoyable, now shes this grumpy old lady who yells at people to get of her lawn!


Funfacts:
-She can open her mouth extra wide, only done when angered, ritual chanting or to intimidate attackers
-Her eyes are blinded but she can still sense other beings, she obtained a very strong sense of smell
-Eyes can glow white
-She is a social outcast, but is great friends with Shang the fudog and Sand the undead priest.
-She likes to collect skulls, not only for her necromancy. But also for nice interior.
-Her inner flesh is black, so is her blood and saliva. The saliva is very poisonous
-She is not a fighter and will flee from a situation whenever possible, Only use necromancy in emergencies.
-Sometimes seen with small resurrected creatures, to keep her company or fetch ingredients. Her favourite are the crows.
