More 2015 art, back when FNAF was still relevant but I was fleshing these characters out to be part of my own universe, rather than mere fan characters...
Penny Possum, showing off some of the questionable repair work done on her arm in the past...
Her arm looks weirdly disproportionate to me because it's literally her skeletal robot arm but I have to keep reminding myself of that fact.

Thank you very much! She's my favorite of the whole group, ugly in all the right ways and full of flaws that give her character.
My last car was an old, beat-up silver Pontiac I called "Penny Possum" for that very reason--big, ugly, beat up, the rednecks that owned it previously must have rebuilt it with parts from like 3 different cars, lots of dodgy repair work that held surprisingly well--for 300 bucks when I needed a vehicle I couldn't complain!

Penny was definitely my favorite, too! As time went on, though, I sorta moved on to other things, but it's been a blast rediscovering things I've kinda forgotten about. I'd been dealing with some major art block the past few months, and finding a new art site combined with taking a break from drawing daily to cross-post, and rediscovering older ideas, might help. Maybe she does need to make a reappearance in 2020, in all her grungy glory.
I remember back at the time I was drawing these, legit having a dream where I married Penny Possum. Dreams are weird. Also the "wedding" took place on some random country road by some farm fields and ditches and there were only like four people in attendance and three of them were other robots lol. Kinda worked that idea into canon a bit, turned it into her having an odd quasi-romantic interest in Skunk Boy because he worked at the Possum County Country Diner for a bit (and was a big enough dork to take his girlfriend to a restaurant with singing robot critters as a date).
One of the ideas I played with later on was her getting a cyborg body, sorta like a Terminator, but as a chubby opossum. One of the advantages of having a morally ambiguous paramilitary faction canon in the same world as the creepy robots is that the paramilitary faction might have the money to spend on weird experiments like that, but when it comes time to program the thing, just see if the scary robot possum will allow her consciousness be copied into it to save some time! It actually has some grounding in my universe but that's an insane ramble for another time.
Dude, I don't expect you to remember *any* of my craziness, I appreciate you showing an interest at all, and putting up with my rambling this long!

I wish I had dreams like that, it sounds awesome! were the robots in attendance other members of the gang or, complete strangers? was it her family? man i wonder what her folks would be like
the skunky one is another fav of mine; so those 2 are certainly my OTP now :o
damn talk about some cross overs
is that cyborg body stuff still a plot you wanna mess with or was it scrapped?

Sometimes I have weird dreams and I actually remember enough of them to be inspired to create characters or scenes based on them. I remember one of the robots in attendance to the wedding was Wally, he probably officiated it, which means it's probably not legally binding, thankfully.
The cyborg stuff is coming, I promise! I've just been cross-posting/re-homing art in chronological order, and I recall Penny getting her upgrade in 2016, so it will be showing up soon! I'm just worried about spamming or flooding the site with too much art at once, that's not fair to everybody else here.
However, this does mean there ends up being *two* Penny Possums, the old body, and the new one. At least, being machines, this doesn't cause her any sort of existential crisis or anything...

dreams are the best, ive actually been working real hard to induce them lately! too bad i always forget them when i wake up u_u
good to be cautious, there are some mini mods on the site that really like to flip out over the smallest stuff!
tbh.. the more penny possums, the better~

It seems like for a few days each month I'll have the crazy vivid dreams, the ones that characters and story ideas come from, or they'll be pretty unpleasant nightmares. I don't do anything to induce it, it just sorta happens. I'm not sure what to suggest to help with memory, though, since I honestly make little effort to induce dreams or remember them for the most part.
More Penny Possums, you say... that whole "able to copy her consciousness" thing has the potential to turn her into Skynet, so be careful what you wish for! She wouldn't wipe out humanity (or, in her case, humanity plus a bunch of sapient anthropomorphic animals) though, because that would also wipe out her audience.

oh i already know a lot about it actually! just, isnt always as easy as it sounds :c
if you take any sleep aids, that can cause a streak of vivid dreams or nightmares! especially if you take more than necessary. And personally if i adjust my pillow height (using a wedge pillow for example) that can also cause it. same for eating cheese before bed :^D
and to remember dreams better, you practice it. it's like a muscle, and dream journaling strengthens it, which helps you become better at recalling dreams. and can even help with lucid dreaming/sleep paralysis. OH and sleeping in weird increments can affect it as well, like waking yourself up in the middle of the night and going back to bed later. im gonna keep on doing what I can, cause i really love dreams and nightmares. so inspirational and exciting!!
omg though, I really love her :'3

I really should study up on it sometime, but before I do... does it impact the quality of your sleep at all? I'd be worried about waking up but not feeling particularly rested, and then having to go to work or something. I have, thanks to having to pee in the middle of the night, been woken up at weird times in the middle of dreams.
im lucky i dont ever wake up to pee, my bladder is insane B^)
i go comatose tbh and sleep for long stretches of time, my schedule is wild because i dont have a job right now
I don't know how it might hurt/help your sleep schedule, I'd imagine it varies a lot person to person! so would be a good idea to save that stuff up for when you've got time off work :b
