Since I've made my wox a dad a while back, I figured I'd do a little something for father's day featuring him and his boy! He's quite nerdy when it comes to retro video games, so here he is showing his son some good ol fashioned gaming!
I grew up without a father figure, but it wasn't all that bad.
This one sure took a while to finish, plus I was on a time limit! So much Photoshop and tablet issues to slow me down. Such a hassle!

Awww, that is very sweet. You know, it's sort of an interesting facet of modern fathers my age or younger in that we can share in video games with kids, whereas my father (in his early 70s) doesn't have that to share from his childhood.
As for not having a father figure - your loss may be another's gain in that I bet you'd make one heck of a cool dad if you get the chance. :)

This is adorable, i can relate on the father figure situation myself, i had a dad in my life but he never tried unless my mother bribed him for the weekends, dont celebrate fathers day no more but i love this post, wish i could spend a fathers day with these two myself to feel something close to the real feeling of it, i love seeing da Wox art uwu"
You didn't think I'd NOT comment on something like this did you? Nonsense! >////> As another person who didn't have a GOOD father figure, and just one that one WISHED wasn't around at all in one's life as they made everything worse (thus making me roll my eyes at ones that say "at least you had one in your life"I admit my view of fathers in general is rather..poor. (really parents in general) Its good to know that despite now having a father figure in life, you've grown to be a polite person for sure.
But this scene exudes an aura of tranquility and love that makes my heart melt. The fact that JD is spending time with his sonny boy at all during Father's Day and wanting to share his interests with the lil wox cub is adorable. Their expressions display how comfortable they are around each other, and how much Wox Jr adores his daddy. Since JD is showing his son the joys of retro gaming, I can see JD encouraging his son if he falls into a pit and fusses, encouraging his son to press onward. Maybe the sweet cub excitedly pointing out things happening in said game that obviously his father already knows about, but just chuckles it off and listens to his son's excited squeals and babbling of joy. And being so close, his son can just snugly rest his head on his father's warm, squeezable belly to stay comfy. Perhaps nuzzle his son's head and smooch him as the cub giggles and complains that his father is distracting him. I really do like that there are several photos of JD's son in the background, taking accounts of different memorable moments to the cute and chubby father in regards to his spirited son. The lighting is really good too, what with the lamp illuminating only a corner and a bit of the wide berth of JD's stature. The creases in JD's arm lengths for his shirt since he has his arms toward his son, to pat/rub his shoulders and make the lad even more merry that he gets to spend time with his father is neat too.
>////< I-I shall leave my other comment at just...both their..p-paws are very cute.
How very wonderful and a great contribution Rodney!

Ahah well, that is quite a comment. It's definitely nice to imagine what they are doing in that exact moment. They're reactions, and what they're saying to each other. It's these moments that young wox will always remember when he's older and revisiting these retro video games.
Thanks a lot for your comment!

One word: HEARTWARMING. That is a great tender look he's giving his son. I like the perspective you've given us here. The background is cool as well with photo frames as well. The soft illumination from the lamp certainly sets a loving mood. I'd imagine the next scene leading to a loving hug. Well done😍😍😍😍
