She is a Tanuki, so that she is up to no good is a given.

Porco Rosso is just too cool for words and there is the mystery of his curse to which I have come up with my own theory. I really have to get up to date with Studio Ghibli as I didn't know Poppy Hill. As for the romances? Those I saw had romances, but that rarely was the main focus of the story.
