The Covenant, both of them, have a strange fondness for old abandoned things like ruins and wrecks. They seem to prefer shipwrecks the most. Oftentimes, whole wrecks and ruins disappear as they drag them into their homeworld to adorn the vast landscape. To this day, nobody know why they're so fond of such things, but their followers are notorious for making offerings of vehicle wrecks to their deities.
This is also a good demonstration of how big the Emperor actually is.
