Snarls tore through Hawthorn’s throat, tugging free from her lips as she felt her fangs rest over the lower pair.
Frost permeated from her nostrils and mouth, leaving in heavy puffs as she felt her eyes scorch with white light.
In this lack of Moonlight, all was revealed to her. She could see everything around her, as if she had 360 vision.
Silhouettes of shadowy beasts were visible in blood red. Trees, critters & structures in either green, pink or brown.
The blood red was the threat. The blood red was the feast.
The blood red was hers.
With a savage sound like a roar, The Huntress let go of her restraints, lifting her white-hot eyes to the Eclipse hanging in the sky.
She reached a hand out to it; embracing the hate, embracing the absence of the Moonlight which placated her.
Tonight, the hunters would become the hunted; they would become the prey, they would know the fear of weakness.
She let out a loud shriek and doubled over, clawing into either arm with growing intensity.
She felt her hot blood trickle down her pelt as her anger - the built-up rage of years of loneliness - took physical form
in the shape of jagged shards of ruby tearing from her form. Panting, she stumbled one hoof in front of the other, eyes wide, searing and tearing,
only to be washed away with the heat exuding from her body.
The spines crackled with magic beyond the Doe’s knowledge as she leaned forward on her hands, hooves finding solid purchase on the wet earth
beneath them as she stood and inhaled. The scent of damp earth filled her nostrils, along with the scent of the Revenant stalking her homelands, seeking her.
Mollified, no longer feeling the sensation of fire nor pain, she smirked as she wordlessly launched from the soil, claws at the ready to take down the intruder.
Rage built in her body, veins arush with blood flow as her heart pounded and her lips curled upward in the anticipation of battle.
Oh...if only it knew what it was up against.
