And done. One of the things I remember reading years ago is that painters should always use odd numbers when it comes to theme elements ie three flowers, three birds etc. I can't remember why but it's always stuck in my head. So I'm counting the dragon as a frog for this purpose. I am vaguely amused that this painting is basically RBG ie red, blue and green. I've been wanting to do a poison arrow dragon for quite awhile and have started it three times before even getting one mostly painted. But each time I abandoned it. Finally I've got something I like. The other version were torn up and recycled. I tend to try and work through most paintings as most can be saved and I tend to learn something. But occasionally I just have to admit it's not working. That one painted leaf still bugs me but I'm just going to have to live with it.
