On a barren desert world located on the edges of Unitary space, a squadron of Marauder tanks gracefully glide over the burning hot sand, unleashing swift and utter destruction upon an unsuspecting enemy supply convoy before retreating back to base.
The Marauder MK V tank is a light hover tank designed for supporting infantry assaults, hit and run attacks, and reconnaissance duty although its been commonly used as a front line tank where it preforms surprisingly decent for a role it was never designed for. The standard load out MK V is armed with a heavy AT energy cannon and a lazer MG which allows the tank to engage any foe on the field. It's armor is fairly weak compared to other Unitary tanks however due to its intended role as a light tank and to decrease the amount of weight put on the tanks anti-grav systems. This anti-grav system combined with a fusion engine powering the entire tank allows the tank to not only glide over almost any terrain including bodies of water but to also reach up to speeds of 90 MPH. Marauders commonly operate in squadrons of 6 tanks often to support each other during an attack on the enemy to compensate their lack of heavy armor and powerful energy weapons. Marauders also common in specialized variants as well including command tanks, destroyers, and light mobile howitzers.
