Despite a grumpy demeanor, a rather dry sense of humor and an almost complete lack of tact, Fane was an absolute sweetheart when it mattered most. And it only took several months of travelling together for him to realize that Markus had very quickly come to appreciate all of the above qualities. And, in turn, Fane learned to appreciate the human’s gleeful adoration of him. He wouldn’t be caught dead admitting such a thing of course, but neither would he deny himself the simply joy of holding his human in a loving embrace at night.
