Yeah I could feel the tension when I went there last. I....think I'm just gonna swear off major chains until further notice. Smaller places need the business way more and you risk endangering the overworked part timers less.

I remember when all that started, and being the introverted, indoorsy germaphobe I've been most of my life, I kinda felt ahead of the curve. I'd had 20 years of experience deliberately stayed at least 6 feet away from people, obsessively washing my hands and flat-out avoiding any direct physical con tact with anybody by that point. And guess what? I've never gotten COVID, not once. (Yes I got all my vaccinations too, obviously.)
