I feel your pain, I am hoping for them to put Houndour in the Crown Tundra. I think Houndour and Houndoom fit in the Galar region better than a lot of the older Pokemon already ported in either from the release or with the Isle of Armor expansion.
Here is hoping both Zangoose and Houndour/Houndoom make it into Sword and Shield in a few months. Even if they dont put them in the game to find and catch, at least let us put them in from Pokemon Home!
