Of course, I did indulge in the occasional fan art as well.
Five years ago, I was a fan of a webcomic (now defunct) called The Mousekaroos by Sarah Davis. Rather than take some of her characters and stick them in some contrived fancomic, I created fan characters set in her world and made a two-page comic with them.
While The Mousekaroos is no longer on the web, I thought this fancomic could stand well enough on its own, especially since it homages a well-known cartoon rivalry.
Beeps, the brown-furred character seen here, is a Mousekaroo from the desert.

Thank you.
As I remember, Version 1 of The Mousekaroos stopped because the website had some hosting problems that pretty much killed that version of the comic. Several months later, Ms. Davis took the opportunity to reboot the comic into Version 2 (from when this comic dates). A few months to a year after I showed this comic on their forums (they liked it, too ), Ms. Davis apparently got irked at all the emails rudely hounding her to update more (I think. Whatever their content was about, they apparently were insulting) and simple stopped The Mousekaroos. I left after that happened as her site was in an indefinite hiatus, but I understand a few months later, she started a different webcomic based on a favorite Mousekaroo role play of hers (only she didn't use Mousekaroos anymore). As for how she's doing now, I'm sad to say I don't really know.
