Its a long and painful road...
In this piece's case I had a friend don an old military jacket, shoulder pads, and hold a cardboard gun I made. Then lean up against a wall with a light shining on it; then took several pics. I originally was going to do this as an oil painting, but my first 3 attempts just lost something.
Looks far better in this Pen & Ink style, took me 3 years to get this one right (from idea to finish).
Each piece has different techniques as they warrant. I like using models when I can, it helps the realism, but is not always practical.

I've been experimenting with styles a lot lately and, well, mixed results.
I'll just have to try until I find my muse, my style or something.

Did you know that a german guy bought all the justifiers licenses and remade the game in 2010? He added some simple rules and polished the setting a bit so that it fits to today's idea of sci-fi. I like the roleplaying game very much!

I did not know this. I am sure he has nothing on me though, I have been running it for 20 years and have gigs of notes and have progressed the universe with each game. Over time it has taken on a life of its own. I also have rules conversions for Palladium Rifts, D20 (Both Modern & D&D), Cyberpunk,and TMNT. Extended catalogs of gear and character guides.
But I will give this guy a chance *wink*
