This is my first attempt of drawing krystal. She's also my favorite heart-throbbing game character, and this is my favorite kind of garment on her. She's probably the reason why I finished the game several times already, and I enjoyed playing as her. It would be so sweet if Fox and Krystal makes out at least at the end.

First thing I started with was from sketch then paint the rest of it on photoshop. I put several layers of background in order to create special effects. I drew the bushes and the trees by using the leaf brush tool that is shaped like a leaf. In order to make a lines of sunlights, I used a trick called the gradient tool. It pretty much forms just like a sunlight since it that white line. So, I insert that in there with minimum amount of opacity. A little opacity creates transparency so the backgrouns won't be too dark. For the trees I just draw a thick line and the some curvy lines just to look natural. As you can see the textures on the tree bark, I just put some itty bitty lines with the burn tool and a dodge tool. About the grass, I used another form of brush strokes that looks like a string of grass. I had to put two different colors on those grass to show alot of textures, values, and depths. I even put the backgound in front so the black lines won't be too exposed, which is supposed to be.

As I was drawing the designs on the pads, I put a thin line to guide where I supposed to color. Then I erased the line and put some shadows and highlights in there. Instead of using a normal brush tool, I used the grass brush tool make a furry-like shape on the rest of her body, espcially when I use the burn and dodge tool. the hardest place to paint was her legs. It had alot of spaces to fill up just put shadows in there. On her staff, I just leave the both ends hidden so it's easy for me to paint. As you can see the fabrics, there are a couple of textures and values in her garments. I had to admit, her lower garments looks stained as I put shadows in it.

For all the concepts in this drawing, you may notice that I mixed it up with different media, and this is as realistic and complex as I could get.
