Part of a small freelance illustration project. I was asked to draw two illustrations of some of the anthropomorphic races for a fantasy setting in Alpha Chronicles.
This would be a Vartith, a wolf-like character race. They're described as large and muscular, so I thought a fighter would be an appropriate depiction. I don't know what possessed me to draw chain mail...

The original illustration is just in black, white, and shades of gray, to be more easily reproduced in black and white printed form. I added the color gradient to the version I uploaded to my personal galleries just to make them a little more visually interesting. I'm glad you like it. :)
