Personality: A kind and warm lion with a big heart, Chaka is often described as the type of personality who brightens any room he is in. While not as brash nor as reckless as his father was as a cub, he displays an enthusiasm for adventure similar to his mother, and certainly inherited both of his parents' bravery. He is one of the closest of the royal cubs to Queen Nala and his grandmother Sarafina; often wanting to hear stories about their youth. Out of his siblings, he is the closest to Badrani, who he is younger than by only a few minutes as the youngest of Simba and Nala's second litter however, due to his own energy and warmth, he often acts as moral support and the voice of confidence of the two ,having to frequently step up for his often fatigued, narcoleptic and smaller brother.

The youngest of Simba and Nala's second litter, Chaka was, like his siblings, born shortly after the tragic sequence of events which led to the death of the crown prince (and their eldest brother) Kopa;. It has been whispered that the first time Simba's gaze met his youngest son that he saw his deceased eldest son in him immediately. This, perhaps, is why Simba is so dedicated and affectionate and yet so protective of Chaka; even compared to his other siblings. As a young cub, Chaka often was watched over like a hawk by the King of the Pride Lands and, if not him, then it was often Zazu on his behalf.

Not that he let this bother him; rather, instead, Chaka often would spend more time with his mother, thus coming to increasingly not require Zazu's watch. As a result of this, Chaka became super close to his mother, as well as his grandmother and uncle Mheetu,, on top of spending the most time with his brother Badrani; who was unable to be too far away from the adults due to his condition. As the two grew older, Chaka took it upon himself to act as a protector and a wingman for Badrani, doing his best to encourage the often-fatigued cub and reassure him of his place in the pride.
