Improvisation on "Sing of Mary" (Organ Improvisation)
Here is another improvisation recording I have. This one is based on the tune "Sing of Mary" a church song we sing now and then at my church.
This hymn can be heard here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3853460

Oh, wow, at 3:32, what is that stop? It's got an extremely powerful sound.
Your improvisations are extremely complex, at around 5:25 those scalic passages sound amazing (especially at 5:47, left me in awe)
Say, I heard that 'improvisation' for organ is actually taught, is that true? If so how, sounds difficult to teach.
Well, I'm going to have to work really hard, my improvisations aren't usually played to create beautiful music like this, more to explore how a theme can be developed, sadly most of my compositions stay on paper because I'm admittedly to lazy to record them, mostly because they are too difficult!

At 3:32 that is the Trombone 16' making the loud roar, and the Bourdon 16' and 8' complimenting the depth (ideally I would play the melody with a 32 Trombone or Bombarde if I had a 32' on my organ). As for improvisation being taught I know it is taught however I self taught myself everything I know on organ (mostly learning off books). Thanks again for the comment, I do love improvising on the organ.
