The emerald gown dangles in front of her, hoisted up by a set of servants. It's decorated with layers and layers of pinched and ruffled cloth. When it came to trying to win her favor with gowns they always angled for her favorite colors, but never her favorite style. The length of the skirt is too long, the sleeves are far too puffy, and the material is too heavy for her liking.
She could give in, but she had not ever asked for a gown like this. Her parents insist on pushing her into wearing attire they deem proper. To dress her up to better fit a role. Her face visibly wrinkles as a feeling of disgust takes over. The attire is expensive, made just for her and only her in a rush order. Somewhere a seamstress has fingertips worn to the bone. The servants hold their breath waiting for her decision.
"I don't care for it."
