Happened today, the sky was completely black but everything was being lit up from behind me. Everything was in bright shining bloom against a black sky, it was really cool to see....

yeah happened today, started raining a little, then a ray of sunshine (2 PM) then hail came down as soon as darkness took over X3

I really like this piece, it illustrates an allegory for the triumph of life in that life is full of strife, as shown in the clouds, and sometimes it can cloud our vision, and block out things in life that we may find to be worth living life for, but despite this, there is always at least a sliver of hope peeking through the clouds, and it is this sliver that shines a light to our hearts, and inspire us to keep living our lives.

Also, YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. Sun beams contrasting against dark/black clouds is one of the most dynamic things ever.

Love the double sided nature of the piece, on the one hand it's very tranquil and serene, on the other you get a great sense of unease as the storm clouds close in.
