Looks good, but in my opinion, I still think you should experiment more with different poses for Applejack, because if I recall correctly, this is the fourth time across all your Applejack pics that you've used this exact same pose and background ^^;

I mean granted, this is definitely the cleanest and nicest-looking out of all four in terms of quality, but you know, one can only do the same thing for so long till it really starts to stagnate for the artist's overall skill.

Also, please do not take this as a callout or calling you a phony or anything like that. I'm just trying to help.
Just some friendly advice: start branching out a bit more in variety for future pics, buddy. :P

You don't have to state something everytime you know. I really enjoy what I do either way. You can, well....tell me what makes you like the picture or....whatever. Not to be rude or anything.

I'm not shaming you for enjoying it or anything, nor am I forcing you to take anything I say into account XD

I'm just giving out advice is all. I mean from one artist to another, we all have eachother's backs and wanna see eachother grow and grow and make some truly great stuff over time. (not that I'm saying your stuff sucks, nothing like that!)

i do too. although, i do have to argue this is a very common position if we were in Applejack's shoes, no pun intended. i can see why this position is always a great one to go to. same with Tiger Trouble art pieces.

Well it's not to say that a pose like that isn't common. It's moreso just the fact it's exactly 1:1 with previous pics. Same with the tiger, it just tends to look more like an edit or redo of an already-existing pic.

While I understand people will have their favourite references to go off of for their art, I'm just expressing a bit of concern of 'doing that too much leading to stagnation of one's abilities'.

I never intended to make it seem like doing this is a strict no-no and not the way to do things, cuz I know plenty of people who used to do art this way, usually for practice.

If I did just one pose of one of my characters for every single art piece for that character for the rest of my life, that wouldn't really feel right if you get what I mean. So, I'm not saying you can't have a favourite pose to go off of, I'm just saying sticking with that one pose and nothing else for way too long could stagnate growth of one's talent. (and could get one into trouble if given particular scenarios ^^;)

But again, Darien doesn't HAVE to take what I say into account. I'm just voicing a mild concern because I do like seeing his art, I just wanna help him grow along the way, is all.

well, he can grow by himself, so that's perfectly fine.

And I agree. I'm just letting him know that he doesn't have to do it all alone if so, support can get someone pretty far after all.

My support for you fades more and more as I see too many instances of tracing or rehashing the same pose/idea.
