I never thought about this before, but that zombie corpse bonfire probably reeks! XD Ever notice how Father Grigori = FG while Gordon Freeman = GF? Is there some significance there, maybe? Maybe because one represents science, whereas the other represents religion, but they're both fighting for the same cause. Also, Father Grigori must be the only Slav who wears Converse instead of Adidas. He keeps it cheeki breeki in his own way. Btw, I always got the impression that Ravenholm might have been an homage to They Hunger, a trilogy of total conversion mods for the original Half-Life inspired by horror movies from bygone eras (especially zombie movies from the '70s and '80s).

Note: His rifle, Annabelle, is a Winchester 1892. It should be lever-action with a high capacity by levergun standards, but in-game, it functions like an over/under double rifle. There's some console code you can do in the unmodded game to get it, but the in-view model used in its place is the SPAS-12 and it uses .357 ammo, so it basically functions like the Colt Python but with 1/3 capacity which makes it pointless. There's a mod that lets you use it, along with Alyx's machine pistol, and they both have actual weapon models. In that mod (I forget what it's called), Annabelle functions like a real levergun and you can actually aim down sights!
