I'm detecting slight hints of Postcards in here. A very unusual piece for you, but one I feel you have pulled off successfully. You've obviously put a fair bit of thought and effort in to this. It doesn't become too much or grinding, which is the risk you run but manage to avoid. I do feel like I should be shaking off a shudder...

Seriously? I always considered Postcards to be somewhat on the bouncy side, a typical summery album rather than this whirling daunting number.

Well there was a track or two that featured your backwards sounds, which were used here also.

I used to spend hours at a time listening to backwards music. Not looking for messages or anything... just found it wonderfully hypnotic and ambient. Should start listening to some more reversed songs, it really is a peculiar feeling. Almost as peculiar as one of my other weird listens - listening to music or radio shows at half speed - really screws up your perception of time!

I used to like playing songs with just the bass line or left hand and seeing if they had any cool melodies or if I could still tell what they were.
