He drives me insane sometimes, but I'd be so lost without him. I may temporarily have to separate with him soon since my life is about to get a little crazy within the next couple months and there's no way he'd be comfortable with it. He's been with me from the time he was a little cotton ball and has stuck beside me through some very rough patches. I don't know how I'm going to survive without him.

Awww is he/she a green cheek conure? I'm looking at getting a Black Capped Conure.. he's the sweetest, goofiest thing ever. Just making sure i have everything set up for him before he comes home.
What a beautiful picture. It's such a pity so many people don't see that birds really have very involved personalities. I had someone tell me birds might as well be fish because you put them in a cage and feed them every so often. I was like HUFFFF U KNO NOTHING D:

In my personal experience, birds are actually above cats and dogs because their emotions are so similar to that of humans. Birds are not domesticated animals. They are a highly intelligent animals that don't play by human rules. You can't own a bird, only befriend them and meet them halfway. Tiki is like no other animal I've ever lived with. He's so intuned and involved with me, his one and only "flock mate" that he can read me better then most people can.
