This is part of commission for
kahluax as an 80 page sketchbook. It will have sketches, line art, and some color stuff. This is one of the color images that have gone into that sketch book. I used Prismacolor markers in it. I also intend to use some watercolor and some color pencil there as well.
these are the Asuna (hyena) tribe main cast from the Sirius series, more recent chapters. Anyone notice anything odd about Rios?

Damn Asuna, I can't say I'm happy with the turn of events in the last few chapters Book 3 chapter 11 specifically. But the same issue has happened in two other long furry stories I read, Marla by SMwolf, and The Mating Season by Tesslyn, their stories are on sofurry.com.
All I can say is I hope Alps finds his power soon. And finally stops people from using him like a puppet. Its frustrating that his great power has yet to be unlocked. It seems like that is a theme throughout the story and I hate seeing Alps used with little regard for his own wants or needs. I don't know how the story will progress but if we see little of the Asuna I won't feel cheated thats for sure. They really showed their lack of respect and desperation. I guess I just can't get in their mindset. As I've never been fond of the ideal of the needs of the many over the needs of the few. I hope what happened specifically between Alps and Rios, dosen't come back to bite everyone. At least with the Queen's family and friends Alps is loved and cared for. End Rant.....
Wrong place I know but needed to get that out there. But I'm still excited for the rest the Sirius Sega and any new art. Still love your stuff.

I have had quite a few people comment with some distress the dark turns the story has taken. I don't care for suffering much myself, so you can be sure it won't stay so tense for long, but I will say this... Everyone so far that has "used" Alps has been changed by it. The Asuna, despite not being the same race, are NOT immune.
As has been stated in the story, the more positive energy he provokes, the more powerful he becomes. The more powerful he becomes, the larger the change he's capable of creating. Nidaja has noticed it already. The strongest character trait for Alps is that he can thrive in adversity, so I hope to prove in the coming chapters, until the end of book three, that ones personality can often be far in excess of a mystical power. Alps attitude alone may be enough to change his world. That is what I intend to be the ultimate theme in this series. Yes, he still has dormant power, and it is great, but the power he will use the most is something we all have inside.

I don't think its a bad thing that the story is serious. You do a good job of not beating the reader over the head with the sadness or struggle. Yes its sad but you don't make it harder than it should. I can't blame you for making the story dark in sections. This is an epic after all.
And I agree with you, every epic you read the hero relays heavily on their will to succeed. The Odyssey is a great example Odysseus fights his way home in a 20 year trip. So will power will be vital to any hero. I'm just frustrated that Alps in continually gets walked over. I guess it just feels like he should get some more respect. Sense he will likely be the one to to play the biggest role. And I admit chapter 11 just really stood out as running against the grain for me. It makes sense from a story point of view. Its just something that gets to me personally. I should have posted in this in a pm. Oh well now everyone knows they need to read The Sirius Saga to see what happens.lol God knows I can't wait for more.
