DnD Moment: Golem discard
Something that happened in the last session of our DnD campaign.
We can come across a pair of golems guarding a door we wanted to go through. After a lil fight I got the golem's attention speaking in dwarvish so they understood. We got them to let us pass. Did our stuff inside and started out. I went to speak to them again letting them know we did what needed and were leaving now. Well they had been given orders to not let anyone leave. So me standing between these two big stone golems wasn't a good start, with the rest of the party still in the hallway behind the door. The first golem attacked by casting slow on me. Our dragonborn archer managed to hit that golem with a banishing arrow to take it out of the picture for a few turns. The party then rushed out and focused on the remaining golem. Meanwhile my slowed bard took this chance to fold out my portable hole and place it on the ground under where the vanished golem had been standing before they reappeared, and fell 10 feet into a pit. A party member ran over to help and quickly folded up the portable hole with the golem inside. I got free of the slow and got the hole back and started running fast as could to a nearby pool we had explored earlier. I knew the middle of the pool opened into a deep abyss at least a mile or so deep with strong currents and such and proceeded to bed sheet shake the portable hole out and chuck the confused golem into the watery abyss and he sank like a literal rock. By this time the party had finished off the other golem. So fight over XD

Reminds me of the "Rod of Ropes" I had one upon a time in an old DND game. I was playing as a fox-anthro Dual-wielding ranger... I essentially used it for some "Attack on Titan" maneuvers against a flying enemy. Managed to take it down with a lucky roll. Knocked it to the ground where everyone ganged up and slaughtered the beast.
